AUTOMOTIVE AND MACHINE REPAIR
Test vehicle systems and parts, identify mechanical problems, perform basic maintenance, repair and replace parts, and interact with clients. Work on engines, transmissions, drive belts, brakes, electronic steering systems, diagnostic tools, power tools, and common hand tools. *Maintenance and Light Repair is a Pre-Apprenticeship program, which offers students the hands-on training and education needed to qualify for apprenticeships.

Before entering the program, students must:
- Complete the core curriculum with passing scores on all written and performance tests.
- Meet basic academic requirements in math and reading.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
